Net profit of the IAG in the first quarter increased 13.4 times

The International Consolidated Airline Group, which includes British Airway, in the first quarter of 2018 increased its net profit by 13.4 times year on year to 794 million euros. Operating profit was 919 million euros, up from 141 million euros. Revenues for the reporting period increased by 2.1% to 5 billion 22 million euros. Calculated per passenger, the company's revenue decreased by 0.7% to 6 euros 21 cents. The IAG fleet made up 551 aircraft and showed an increase compared to 547 aircraft a year earlier. The company increased fuel expenses by 0.6%. Excluding changes in foreign exchange rates, growth was 10%.
