The GDP growth in comparison with the fourth quarter of 2017 did not change. The indicator coincided with the forecasts of analysts. In annual terms, the Spanish economy grew by 2.9% after an increase of 3.1% in the fourth quarter, which was the weakest increase in three years. Experts had predicted an annual growth of 3.1%. It is also reported that, according to preliminary data, in April, the consumer price index increased by 1.1% in annual terms after an increase of 1.2% a month earlier. In March, the price increase was 0.8%.
