European officials are being prepared for interest rates decline because of the EU’s economy weakening. Now the ECB is trying to cope with a manufacturing slowdown. Its experts now keep interest rates unchanged, but they can be cut until mid-2020. Interest rates were near zero during years, but the bank hopes to normalize them according to new economic conditions. Another reason for the slowdown is uncertainty which is caused by trade tensity and big chances for a hard scenario of Brexit.
